The initiative to open up the pristine Theth National Park, named after the small picturesque village of Theth, to sustainable tourism has benefited the entire region; in fact, today it provides a living for many families.
While northern Albania has transformed itself into a notable hiking destination in recent years, southern Albania’s beaches and coves, with their 300 annual days of sunshine, are predestined for vacations at the shore. But the travel destination Albania offers much more than this: places like the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Berat – the City of a Thousand Windows, and Gjirokastra enchant travelers again and again.
